Life is good. I started doing art for the first time since going to Guangzhou to study art at an art boot camp. The studio’s name is Chuang Yi (创艺画室). It’s a very nice little studio. Studying there is relatively cheap. 400 RMB/ day, which includes 8 hours of painting daily, 3 meals and room and board!
I really enjoyed my time there. Unfortunately as I’m not working atm, I cannot afford to study there for longer.
These two pieces of art work are inspired by another artist on Facebook. Unfortunately I do not remember his/her name. But I really like the simplicity and brilliance of it!
In Chinese we say: “破“ (pronounced puo), meaning “broken”. The stroke of paint on the otherwise very tidy square is an example of “puo”.
